Scramble Puzzles

Thinking Guy Vs. Scramble Puzzle

These are groups of sliding tile puzzles. Perhaps you are familiar with a common puzzle game that consists of several square interlocking and sliding tiles held within a frame. One of the tile positions is empty, and this permits the other tiles to be moved about and rearranged. The combined surface of the tiles has a picture on it. The game proceeds by first scrambling the tiles so that the picture becomes incoherent and then figuring out how to move the tiles back to the positions which correctly show the picture.

Each of the following is such a game. The computer will scramble the tiles. The pictures are mathematics and physics formulas.

An important initial step to using formulas is to know what they look like, so have fun getting them to look right!
